Quick Start
Get your team estimating in under a minute with this quick start guide.
1. Create a Room
Section titled “1. Create a Room”- Go to storypoint-estimate.com
- Click Create Room
- Enter a room name (e.g., “Sprint 42 Planning”)
- Click Create
2. Share the Link
Section titled “2. Share the Link”Copy the room URL and share it with your team via Slack, Teams, or email.
3. Join the Room
Section titled “3. Join the Room”When team members open the link, they’ll:
- Choose an avatar
- Enter their name
- Click Join Room
4. Start Estimating
Section titled “4. Start Estimating”The room manager can:
- Enter a story/ticket topic
- Click Start Voting
- Wait for everyone to vote
- Click Reveal Votes
5. Discuss & Repeat
Section titled “5. Discuss & Repeat”After revealing:
- Discuss any large differences
- Click New Round to estimate the next story
- Permanent rooms: Toggle “Permanent room” when creating to keep the room active
- Manager controls: The room creator is automatically a manager
- Custom votes: Managers can customize vote options in room settings
